He has a considerable capacity for project management and administration, and excels in problem solving with the efficient use of resources. Wil demonstrates the ability to complete projects from inception to follow through, on his own, and using his skills as an organizer, delegator, leader, mentor, and boss.

Being able to handle the high demands of the construction site has been a hallmark of Wil's career. He offers extensive experience in technical aspects, production procedures, management techniques, marketing strategies and customer relations. 
With the earning of his Professional Engineer license and Land Surveyor license, came the debut of Kottler Land Services in Appleton, WI in June of 1997. As an independent construction survey company, KLS put a lot of stakes in the ground - over 10,000 per year.
Success in the construction industry soon attracted fellow associates. Wil took advantage of opportunities to expand and diversify his experience by working for other firms. His expertise in the construction industry continued to be exercised.
With increased experience and exposure, Wil began to earn a reputation for knowing his stuff. He was asked to share his perceptions with fellow surveyors with a presentation on construction staking for the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors institute in 2005. In 2008, he teamed with a colleague to present a real world lot line dispute where Wil defended his own survey in court, and won.
The presentation would not have been complete without Wil Doer making an entrance. This guy is the best construction staker in the world, in his own mind. The resemblance is shocking, much like the reaction of his audience. A sample of Doer's work may be posted on this website to punish visitors. 
Wil's extensive construction work did not leave him sheltered from being a land surveyor. He has surveyed 100's of properties around the state of Wisconsin. His background in the construction industry provides a real world experience that many surveyors do not have. 
With over 50 plats in his portfolio, Wil has the knowledge and experience to design and provide attractive and efficient subdivisions. He measures his success on the success of his clients. The balance between restrictions and yield for land development is the focus, along with highly attractive designs that sell. 
Wil earned his bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from UW Madison in June of 1991. His Professional Engineer license came June of 1995. Wil became a licensed Land Surveyor on April 17th, 1997. For a list of some of Wil's projects, click here.
